Final Year Design Project I
A team-based capstone in which students define the problem, demonstrate feasibility and take responsibility for a key element of the project.
The course
Students formulate a project proposal from technical and value-creation perspectives, work within resource and time constraints, and use regular design reviews to test whether the proposed direction remains feasible.
Learning through ownership
The project moves from an assigned design exercise to an open-ended problem. Prototyping, research, manufacturability, sustainability, marketability, documentation and presentation are connected design decisions.
